GlossyBox: December Box

Hello beautiful people, 

This is my very first beauty blog and I’m hoping you’ll enjoy reading it, just as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it. 

Now, I wouldn’t consider myself a make-up hoarder, but I do love using it. Also, I’m no make-up guru, however I am subscribed to one of the best beauty boxes out there: ‘Glossybox’. So each month, I receive a box filled with a selection of five full-sized luxury beauty products that are new, fabulous and trending; and all for a great value! My subscription box from the month of December, 2018 was so incredible that, I had to share my thoughts with you.

Luxury Lip Liner in Victoria by Jafra

I tried and tested all five products in the box and out of them all, my absolute favourite was the Jafra Luxury Lip Liner in the colour ‘Victoria’. I own and have used lip liners by different brands but, never have I used a lip liner so smooth, hydrating and pigmented all at the same time! You’re probably wondering about the secret behind this amazing three-in-one lip liner and there most certainly is one; it’s Jafra’s exclusive ‘Royal Jelly RJx Technology’. This groundbreaking lip liner technology does more than just give precision to outlining your lips; it nourishes the lip and provides a beautiful plump look. I received this lip liner in the colour ‘Victoria’, which is a beautiful deep red and is also available in nine other incredible shades for you to choose from. And this may sound rather unusual, not only can the lip liner be used to perfectly line the lips, but it can also be applied over the Luxury Lipstick by Jafra (or any other lipstick you use) and it blends in just perfectly.

Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Gloss by Becca

Tbh, I’ve never really been a huge fan of lip glosses because they make my lips sticky. While I enjoy the glossy shine that lip glosses provide, I don’t quite enjoy having my hair stick to my lips if and when it does get windy. For the past few years, I’ve avoided using lip glosses for this very reason, until recently. The December box came with a beautiful Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Gloss by Becca, which is a gloss like none other. This gloss consists of Vitamin E (which is great for), Coconut Oil and Olive Oil, all ingredients providing immense hydration. In addition, this gloss has an easy applicator and give the lips a beautiful holographic shine, minus the sticky factor. This beautiful lip gloss has reintroduced me to the world of Lip Glosses.

P.S. It smells like an island, with a hint of coconut and vanilla – incredibly intoxicating!

Astrolight Highlighter in Electric by Kaleido

GLOW, intense GLOW – my everyday make-up routine is simply incomplete without the beautiful glow a highlighter provides. Everything about using a highlighter is perfect – the glow, the shine, and the light it bounces off your cheek bones. The very first highlighter I used was a liquid one and frankly, I was not impressed. I found the consistency to be a bit sticky and found it rather hard to blend with the rest of my makeup. I’ve been using powder highlighters since and haven’t looked back. When I received the Astrolight Highlighter in the colour ‘Electric’ by Kaleido, I figured I’d give liquid highlighters another shot; and may I just say, my opinion definitely changed. This highlighter by Kaleido has a light gel-like consistency, with concentrated pearls and mica pigments that blend in effortlessly, providing a glow lasting as long as 8 hours. If you’re looking for more of a sheer over-all glow, try mixing a small amount of the highlighter with your foundation.

Radiance Mask by Copper + Crane

Let’s face it, we would all kill for a magical product that could detox, fortify, hydrate and nourish the skin all at once; and that magic product is the Radiance Mask by Copper +Crane. You can simply apply the mask all over your face using a make-up brush or your finger tips (don’t get too close to your eyes, eyebrows and hairline). Leave the mask on for approximately fifteen minutes, sip on some bubbly and indulge in a few pieces of delicious dark chocolate. Begin peeling off the mask from your jaw line and work your way up. You will be left with smooth, soft, refreshed and rejuvenated skin – the perfect all-in-one result you were aiming for!
