About

The real Juhi Sharma

Movement shaped my life at a very young age; starting with gymnastics, transitioning to the world of Bharatnatyam (an Indian Classical Dance-form), taking on running, and finding myself stepping into the world of Pilates. What started as a bi-weekly activity slowly transformed into curiosity about this specific movement modality, and quickly turned into the one thing I wanted to share with others.

Certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel · Prenatal and Postnatal · Injuries and Special Populations

I believe movement should feel good and purposeful, not only during the session, but beyond the session and in your day to day. My approach is deeply rooted and built around the six Pilates principles, while meeting you wherever you are at in your movement journey. Pilates, for me, is more than just a movement form; it’s an opportunity to breathe, reset, and bring more balance to your life.

The practice of Pilates has been grounding for me, and I look forward to sharing my love for movement with you.

The journal

All stories

I’ve lived in Toronto most of my life. I started this blog in 2018 with recipes, travel and everyday life. It’s all still here, and now there’s Pilates too.

Pilates

I’m certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel, and in prenatal and postnatal Pilates. My articles cover where to start, mat or Reformer, and how often to practise.

Cookbook

Everything I cook here is vegetarian: masala chai, gooey fudgy brownies, a lentil shepherd’s pie and a rice-less risotto I learned from Chef Dominic in Mont Tremblant. Every recipe has a card you can print.

Travel

Dubai, London, New Delhi, Cappadocia and Mont Tremblant: where I went, where I ate and what I wore.

Lifestyle and beauty

Gift guides for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and the holidays, two Glossybox unboxings, the Toronto Christmas Market and a few weekly motivation posts.

A few things about me

Single or Double
No, not espresso shots. I’m “double”, a.k.a. extremely happily married!
The Sushi Syndrome
A very real condition, curable only with unlimited sushi.
One Shade of Grey
White isn’t technically a colour, it’s a shade. Colour or shade, I love white.
Movie Night
Sex & The City II, pretending to be Sarah Jessica Parker, forever my lady crush.
Cinderella Slipper
The Hangisi Satin Pump by Manolo Blahnik, in every single colour.
Life on a Plate
Nothing more comforting than steamy, aromatic rajma chaval.
Dream Destination
Strolling a Moroccan souk on a warm day, binge-buying spices and trinkets.
Life without Lipstick
No such thing. I run on chocolate, tea & lipstick.
Floral Life
I love flowers… as long as they’re fluffy, pink, and end in “EONY”. Peony.
Roots
Indian by birth. Global citizen at heart.
